I gave birth to my baby boy on the 5th of May using the BirthSkills technique and it was the most wonderful experience of my life. 

I went into labour at 1.30am and the surges were 10 mins apart.  Because I had had a c section previously the hospital told me to come straight in.  We arrived at the hospital at 4am and I was already 3cm dilated.  I was put in the ward because my labour was progressing quite slowly with the surges remaining at 10 mins apart all day until about 4pm.  I remained calm and confident the whole time and stayed on my fee

As the surges strengthened I read my affirmations and refocused my mind.  At 4pm the surges were every 3 mins and were quite intense.  I went to the birth suite at this time, and I was 8cm dilated.  The pushing seemed to go on forever and I did use the gas, but I still used my breathing and thought about the things I learnt f

Thank you so much for allowing me to have a wonderful birth, I am so proud of what I have achieved, I never thought I could endure something like this.

Just thought I would finally make the time now that my baby is 14 weeks old to write and let you know that all went well.

The birth was absolutely wonderful and everything that I dreamed it could be. Having read through the information that you sent enabled me to really work with my body and get through all the contractions until my waters broke at home, drove to the hospital and delivered beautifully without any drugs within 40 minutes of arriving. Walked back to my room, had a long and blissful shower and have felt fabulous for every moment since. So thank you for the program which enabled me to have the trust in myself and my body that I could do this with ease. No sign of those nasty post delivery complications I suffered with my first baby.     

Baby Jett arrived at 8.27pm on February 23, 2006. He was 8lb 10 oz and 55cm long.
